Mr. Mark Wilneff, President brings over 30 years of experience in the petroleum sector with a
specific expertise in field operations as well as pipeline and facilities experience. Mr. Wilneff’s
career includes several years of operations and managerial experience ranging from majors to intermediate and junior companies. He has worked on gas, oil and heavy oil projects throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and has helped design and manages virtually every type of production regimen from SAGD to high volume lift, sour gas and acid gas facilities. Mr. Wilneff also brings a wealth of knowledge regarding safety and regulatory compliance and is up to date on all aspects of good oilfield practice.
Roger Moore, CEO
Mr. Roger Moore, Veracity CEO has over 40 years of experience in the petroleum industry. His experience includes supervision and management of drilling, completions, facilities design, construction and operations. He has advised clients regarding projects throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico. Mr. Moore has personally owned numerous oil and gas companies which gives him a grounded and realistic perspective on the needs of Veracity clients.
Gary Gwartney, P. Eng.
Mr. Gary Gwartney P. Eng., Engineering Consultant is a professional engineer that brings over 25 years professional engineering experience in all areas of Oil and Gas operations and exploitation. Mr. Gwartney has domestic and international experience in operations, facility construction, drilling, completions, joint ventures, exploitation and property evaluation for acquisitions. In addition to his technical background, Mr. Gwartney has management experience in small to intermediate sized Canadian producers and was a founder and director of a Canadian junior capital pool corporation. Mr. Gwartney is also the founder and principal of Tollerton Resources Inc., an APEGA permitted engineering consulting firm since 1995. Mr. Gwartney graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSc. in mechanical engineering in 1988 and is professional engineer in good standing in the Province of Alberta.
Stephen Gibson, Director of Corporate Development
Mr. Stephen Gibson, Director of Corporate Development provides extensive corporate skills and experience to Veracity’s clients. Mr. Gibson has previously served as President, CEO, CFO and Director of several publicly traded companies and is able to assist in the corporate review process and interact with management, board members, lenders as well as legal, insolvency and investment banking professionals. He has been involved both as an investor, CFO, CEO, partner and advisor in several insolvency matters and has a broad knowledge of all aspects in insolvency issues specifically related to oil and gas. He proficient in strategic planning and the negotiation of acquisitions, joint ventures and farmins and has a good working knowledge of the various documents and practices which govern the energy business. Mr. Gibson is well connected in the Calgary business and financial community and is well positioned to help bring restructuring proposals forward or assist in the evaluation of same. In a restructuring or insolvency process, he is well suited as a consulting Chief Restructuring Officer or similar role, advising the Board of Directors, the Monitor, Receiver or lender depending upon circumstances.
Giovanni DeFrancesco, Engineering Technologist
Mr. Giovanni DeFrancesco is an Engineering Technologist with over 32 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked for corporations ranging from growth orientated junior producers to midsize producers with increasing responsibility in technical, supervisory, corporate and management functions. For the past three years, Mr. DeFrancesco has worked for Veracity Energy Services Ltd as a consultant providing well optimization, reservoir analysis, project economics and identification of bypassed pay opportunities for Veracity clients. During the prior 10 years Mr. DeFrancesco served in a variety of senior corporate roles including President and CEO of one public and one private junior energy company. In these roles he managed all the engineering, managerial and corporate aspects of the company, including coordination of production operations, drilling, completions, reservoir engineering and budget forecasting. From 1994 to 2002, Mr. DeFrancesco held the positions of Vice President of Operations at two junior public oil and gas companies and from 1989 to 1994 he held the position of Vice President of Corporate Development at a senior public exploration and production company. Mr. DeFrancesco graduated with honours from S.A.I.T. in 1982, Engineering Science Technology.
Naomi Wiebe, Geological Consultant
Ms. Naomi Wiebe, Geological Consultant, has over 14 years of experience in the petroleum industry with 12 years working for major companies (Talisman Energy Inc., Apache Canada Ltd.) and over 2 years working as a consultant for junior and intermediate companies. Ms. Wiebe has an M.Sc. in Geology with a focus on Carbonate Sedimentology, has participated in over 25 petroleum industry training courses locally and internationally and is a published author in the CSPG Bulletin*. She obtained her B.Sc. Honours in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan in 1999 and her M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Manitoba in 2002. Ms. Wiebe brings a breadth of experience from a wide variety of oil and gas plays including; carbonate and clastic reservoirs, exploration and development, horizontal multilateral/multifrac development, secondary and tertiary EOR schemes, and acquisitions/divestitures. Ms. Wiebe’s particular expertise lies in Devonian carbonates (Slave Point, Keg River, Nisku, Leduc), Cretaceous clastic reservoirs (Viking, Mannville), comprehensive core studies, development of facies models, production of high quality geological maps, and thorough geological assessments. Paul Mullen, Operations Manager
Mr. Paul Mullen, Operations Manager brings over 20 years of experience in the chemical and petroleum sector with a specific expertise in field operations as well as pipeline, facilities and well workover experience. Mr. Mullen’s career includes several years of operations and managerial experience ranging from intermediate to junior companies. He has worked on gas and oil projects throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and has helped design and manages virtually every type of production regimen from conventional to high volume lift, sour gas and acid gas facilities. Mr. Mullen has personally owned an oil and gas company which gives him a grounded and realistic perspective on the needs of Veracity clients. Mr. Mullen also brings a wealth of knowledge regarding safety and regulatory compliance and is up to date on all aspects of good oilfield practice. Mr. Mullen graduated from N.A.I.T. in 1995, Chemical Engineering Technology and has a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate.
